You haven't seen Kung Fu Hustle yet? WTF is wrong with you? Go!
Having the theatre to just us (also wic Shygirl n Laz) was grand. I could have had an aneurysm in there...
Anyway - go, now!

Watched the Spongebob Squarepants Movie around noon. Giggled my ass off through most of it. Not much to say about it though - if you think Spongebob is stupid then it's a movie length mess of stupid. Pretty much what I expected, which is a good thing.
After that (and a brunch break, etc...) we peeped out Nausicaa (+ umlaut), which is this rather involved little anime flick. I just love that Miyazaki dude - he can take some of the hokiest ideas that would drive me nuts in any other movie, and just make them into these amazing things. Fun fun watch, with some great ideas and visuals.
Then, just to spice things up, we took a quick drive over to the little ghetto theatre near here and hit the Hitchhiker's Guide. Again, giggled through most of the movie. It wasn't 100% - they did that damn romantic angle thing and I'm still not totally with the Mos Def as Ford thing (I mean he did play it up strange and quite bland, which seems to be the Ford Prefect I ought to expect...), but in all I would say it's basically faithful to the Guide. Plus the effects were rather zippy.
I might have to get me a dart gun and find some helpless victim at Faire to aim it at. I mean, it's not like I can bring a bottle of Wild Turkey on site with me. Anybody know a good hypnotist?

No idea wtf I'll be doing tomorrow til she gets home. Other than sleep of course. I may need my rest since there is this plan to do some sort of hill hikey thing.
Didn't get the Shadowrun game started the other night like I wanted. Gladius took over now that we've gotten pretty far along on it. It still boggles how much it looks like how I pictured many elements for Myth. Haven't talked Gryphage into playing it yet but I think he could be persuaded once he gets to read some of the better bits of background material. Gaming is chaos, of course. Had to have the hubby grab my KoE book so I can finish my character for that one.
And speaking of him - did I mention that he broke his foot. Not like snap, sprawling in pain, cast - he broke the end off of some small bone or something in his ankle (they want to do another x-ray) and it's in a horrible spot and inflamed. The doc put a boot on him because he didn't want to do crutches. And he's supposed to be coming out to Cali for the weekend and hit Faire on Sunday. Oy, gonna need a wheelchair.
I fear the fungus. I can say no more.
Do this, it amuses me: You know that song by Van Halen, Running With the Devil? Yeah, sing that chorus bit only you say "Livin' in the Ghettooooo!" I dunno, it's funny dammit...
Happy green day.
Happy green day.
Haaaaaaaaaaappy...
There was no way I was going to get into my fekkin' costume before I got on site. The insanity of getting the Faire thing going sounds pretty intense, from my 4th hand knowledge of whatever is or isn't going on. Once I saw the boss we had everything set up, and I was ready to try and put on my costume and accent. Arrdy arrdy arrrrrr... God save the Guinness in the morning! We wandered around and tried to find some places and get oriented, did a little shopping.
I started a little early to warm up and get used to pestering people. This crowd seems a bit surprised by some of our antics - I loved the different reactions to our little catchphrase: "Live target." I hawked out in the street a little on Saturday, but much more today because I didn't get money wench. I may have to just nevermind my juggling balls though, because I know one will end up in a cannon. Fortunately, there is no shortage of balls at Cannonade
Shut up Beavis.
I'm displeased with the $6.50 for a beer nonsense, since I am now sans rum. I'm displeased with the no-nightlife policy. I'm not too keen on the wacky winding roads yet. I'm displeased with the lack of avocado grinders. Otherwise, it seems basically kosher.

Only I'm doing the psycho anal pregen thing sort of, which means I'm supposed to be reading some stuff and taking notes on the dastardly things they'll have to endure from me. We've already roughed out the characters, and I gotta figure the shopping list for building our street sam. I'm thinking they should drive around in a tricked out and armored Hummer, an idea courtesy of my happy hostess.
But now that I've been using the wild crap that runs around in my head all the time I'm finding it harder to tie together unlikely events. All of my good ideas are in play already - at least the ones I've had lately. I'm in post hell right now because rondaks won't connect and I've got irons in the fire.
Feast or famine, I tells ya.
