I had a good time yesterday - the patrons seemed more playful than usual. Sometimes, especially when I'm off shift but still in garb, I like to just sit on the counter and jabber in accent for a while. (Bad accent, remember that.) I like to catch the occasional one off guard with some tacky hawk and make 'em laugh. Putting on the carny bark really does make a mouthy character out of me.
So now thanks to Seymore I've got a little wicker basket deal, and I'm hoping this week that I can transform it into something fun. I've been wanting this for a while now - and if I get this bucket made right I want to use it at least once this year.
Don't know what I'm talking about? Show up at Faire some Sunday, go to cannonade, and make sure you are wearing something flaming. No, this is not a call for a drag parade - we have already met our queen quota (1).
His phone is on now, but he called me from Ram's phone. But the phone is indeed on.
Safe for work, but popup intensive if you ain't gots the block.
I was going to put up a happy Green Day notice on the actual date, but I can tell you what this 4/20 was in total lack of:
Internet, none to be had.
And there's no TV in the Tornado shelter, so what is the housecat to do? I mean besides the catnip, I can't just sit here and be loaded jones, can I?
I really suck at the Playstation thing. the Spongebob game finally sucked the life out of me just a bit ago, and the Simpsons game just got straight frustrating, with the cars and the not wrecking things up too bad. Eeeesh! I guess I'm nearing old now.
I tried to call the hubby a couple times, but I get dumped into voicemail without a ring. He must have forgotten to turn turn his phone on after the plane trip down to Dallas. I hope he and Ram have a good time with the house tour. I may have to get Ram's number on my phone, ya think?
Now that we're wired up again and I've done all my homework I'm stuck in that weird sleep-limbo state. I've been up long enough that I'm catching a 2nd wind, and the internet is a great way to stay awake. Only there's nothing to do now that everyone I pay attention to has gone to bed. I'm glad to have the games moving at a reliable pace, and it looks like Briar Co. Blues may make it to day 3 before I'm back home. Day 3!
Rambling... Hmmm... I think that's everything. Did I forget something?

Woke up round noon when the phone went off, but I knew I'd never get to it in the other room before it quit, so I just stretched and looked for my glasses. It was my hostess, so I popped onto Y! so we could chat awhile. That and #bearcave kept me hiding most of the afternoon out in the garage.
I put it on some net radio with nice house and techno stuff, and that along with the cds I brought (all 2) means that the little woofer on her desk makes a nice fan during the warm part of the day.
I spooked the others when I went out the first time, because all I did was bang some pots around in the sink from last night and then grab a glass of milk. Then I sat out a while later and chatted with a couple of the guys - random religious/political chatter, nothing grouchy - before wandering back down the tunnel.
The phone was being stupid signalwise the last time I was here, but it seems to be behaving now. Which is good because I know the hubby would lose his mind if we didn't talk for a whole week. I think the phone would explode from non-use. I dunno what it is, but his and my phones have been getting titchy on the signal.
Anyway, I'm gonna cut it here because I'm s'posed to be helping with taco night. Ole (plus accenty thingy).
And that's about it. I imagine things will take an entertaining turn within a day or 2. Don't hold your breath though.
